Su Wen is a member of the Chinese Musicians’ Association and Shaanxi Province Musicians’ Association, and is named one of the ‘Hundred Talents of the Arts’ of Shaanxi Province.
He is a recipient of multiple prestigious awards, including a Class One Award in indigenous folk singing at the 3rd Shaanxi Province Music Awards (government award), and Class One ‘Panda’ Music Award at the 3rd Music Festival of the Five Provinces in Northwestern China in 2015. In 2016 he participated in the Anhui Television programme, ‘Chinese Farmers Singing Competition’, and was Champion of the Five Provinces in Northwestern China, Champion of the Central Region, National Champion and winner of the title, ‘King of Singing Farmers’. In the same year, he won the Class One Award in the Folk Performing Arts Category at the 4th ‘Mountain Flowers’ Awards for Folk Literature and the Arts of Shaanxi Province. In 2017, he was among the top six contestants in the Anhui Television music programme, ‘Listen to China’, top of the 3rd Shaanxi Province Top Ten folk songs, and won the top prize at the 10th Hong Kong ‘Golden Bauhinia’ Chinese Singing Competition Pan Six Countries. In 2018, he was elected an outstanding participant at the 7th Yan Weiwen Master Class for Chinese Vocal Music, was awarded the Avenue of Stars Champion of the Week, Champion of the Month and Champion of Division of the Year, and was among the top four contenders at the final competition of the year.
