Sam Lau

Graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, received Master of Fine Arts (Playwriting),Sam was awarded ‘The Future Playwright Scholarship’ during studies. Currently a freelance actor,playwright, lyricist, director and singing coach, Sam is one of the associate artists of Yat Po Singers, and theProgramme Director (Artistic) of “Jockey Club Yat Po ‘Happy A-ge-cappella’”. His The Waters Will Tell hasbeen awarded as the Best Original Music of the Year in 2022 Beehive Awards, and his Save The Next Song For Me has been nominated as the Best Originated Music and Lyrics at The 27th Hong Kong Drama Awards.His recent productions include “Jockey Club Yat Po ‘Happy A-ge-cappella’” Project Poon-Choi (Playwright,Lyricist & Co-director) and Hong Kong Repertory Theatre February 14 – a musical (Actor) etc.
