Since hosting the first Hong Kong Drum Festival in 2003, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra has extended the invitation to drum enthusiasts and drum troupes from all around the world. Beginning in 2024, the competition has been split into two main categories – the Chinese Drum and the International Drum. We hope that this will encourage the musical exchanges between a diverse range of drum types from around the world and promote the development of drum music, attracting more drum enthusiasts and showcasing the vibrancy of drum culture.
